scriptures to soothe a stressed and fearful soul
Today was a particularly difficult day for me. I worked my butt off intensely and got thrown under the bus at my job. It's times like these that I like to find good scripture to grasp onto.
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me, Says the Lord." Isiah 54:17
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2
Pretty much all of psalm 91 is great to read during times of stress and uncertainty.
